The Performance Academy (PA) is a Technical Development Program, for youth soccer players. It is brought to you by Coerver® Coaching, "The World's #1 Soccer Skills Teaching Method", and their international partner Adidas®.
Coerver® Coaching Performance Academies operate around the world with the aim of maximizing each player's development. This is achieved by providing each player with professional coaching, age specific technical curriculum, and top class facilities.
Our aim is to develop confident and creative players while teaching essential social skills such as good sportsmanship and respect, in addition to a good attitude to practice and play. The PA is a progressive series of instruction in Ball Mastery, Receiving and Passing, 1v1 Attacking skills, Speed (including the speed of thought), Finishing and Group Play. All this results in improving player’s ball control, 1v1 skills, creativity, speed of play and overall Soccer IQ.
Academy and Placement
Players will be grouped in 2 different level programs*; Developmental and Elite:
- Developmental Academy - is open to competitive players as well as players aspiring to be more competitive players.
- Elite Academy - is open for players who have been part of Coerver events in the past and are recommended by Coerver Staff. It is also available for ODP level players, including Premier teams and players who are recommended by their respective Academy Director, DOC or, Head Coach and possess technical qualities to be a part of the Elite Academy level.
*ALL players are assigned to the proper level Academy Program by a Coerver Staff Coach. Each player will be assessed on our 5S player development model
Each player’s performance in these four areas will determine which level of The Performance Academy the player will be offered a place within.
The Performance Academy Package
Performance Academy offers a market-leading player package that has been designed to maximize the Technical, Physical, Psychological and Social development potential of each player. We are working to introduce each level which includes the following:
Technical Coaching: Fall, Winter and Spring Programs
Web Based Support: Players can download the Coerver Skills App to learn, practice, and compete against the other Performance Academy participants.
Sports Science Testing: We are working towards including real statistics in the future to benefit each Performance Academy attendee.
Apparel: fee includes a training jersey
